"Gucci Cosmos" is a forward-thinking exhibition showcasing some of the most iconic designs from Gucci's 102-year history. Debuting in Shanghai, the exhibition is a playful journey back in time, spanning decades; a love letter to the Gucci story that began in Florence, and a celebration of the brand's boundless creativity.

"Gucci Cosmos" explores how Gucci's codes and spirit, passed down for over 100 years, have been incorporated into iconic designs, and how iconic pieces from each era have inspired and reinterpreted by Gucci's creative directors and designers throughout history. The exhibition also demonstrates how, by leveraging the power of Italian craftsmanship and tradition-based creativity to innovate, Gucci has not only reflected its times, but also ushered in new eras, driving changes in society and its aesthetics.

Conceived and designed by British artist Es Devlin and curated by Italian fashion scholar and critic Maria Luisa Friesa, the exhibition offers a playful journey through Gucci's past, present and future. At the heart of each space is the Gucci archives, housed in Florence's 15th-century Palazzo Settimanni. These precious archives, many of which have never been exhibited before, remain a vibrant source of inspiration for Gucci's creative team. Courtesy of Gucci

Each exhibition space will shed light on the diverse facets of Gucci, tracing the brand philosophy that has been passed down uninterrupted since the brand's founding in 1921 and its constantly renewing inspiration and creativity, from Guccio Gucci, the brand's dreamy founder, to his sons Aldo and Rodolfo, who shared their pioneering spirit, to the powerful imaginations of more recent Creative Directors Tom Ford, Frida Giannini, and Alessandro Michele.

From Guccio Gucci in 1921 to today, Gucci has been and continues to be a global brand committed to the pinnacle of creativity and Italian craftsmanship, innovating to deliver true luxury quality, iconic design and ideas that shape the future.
