Yuriko Takagi's solo exhibition "PARALLEL WORLD," held in the Okiyodokoro Kitchen of the Ninomaru Palace at Nijo Castle in Kyoto, was brought to completion by scenography by architect Tsuyoshi Tane. The title of this exhibition refers to two worlds that exist simultaneously, and it intertwines the worlds of "Threads of Beauty," which features photographs of people wearing traditional clothing on a daily basis in 12 countries, and "fashion." The fashion theme includes photographs of the creations of designers who have led the fashion world from the 1980s to the present, including special archive pieces of haute couture photographed by Yuriko Takagi for Dior. Enjoy a behind-the-scenes look at this exhibition, where two worlds intersect amid a diverse range of photographic expressions, including works printed on different materials such as photographic paper, Japanese paper, cotton paper, and plaster, as well as works that Takagi has colored herself, along with a special interview video with photographer Yuriko Takagi and architect Tsuyoshi Tane.
