Sandra Cinto was born in Brazil in 1968. She views drawing as a communication tool, and aims to create a physical connection with people through her drawings. He has created numerous installations featuring motifs such as stars, crystals, and waves. His fantastical landscapes, such as raging seas, storms, and skies, depicted with thin white and silver lines, resonate with the surrounding architectural environment, evoking stories of human suffering and redemption and prompting us to reflect on our own emotions.

Since the early 1990s, he has exhibited his work internationally, and in Japan he participated in residencies at the Toyota Municipal Museum of Art (2008) and the Aomori Contemporary Art Center, Aomori Public University (2015). He has held solo exhibitions in various countries, primarily in the United States, Brazil, and Spain, and has created public art, such as murals for the Olympic Sculpture Park operated by the Seattle Art Museum. He also co-founds Atelier Fidalga with his partner, Albano Afonso, and is actively involved in artistic exchanges through exhibitions and residencies both in Brazil and abroad.

For this "Cosmic Garden" exhibition, Santo will be collaborating with artists who are close friends of Santo to create an installation. The work will take place over several days and will abstractly express the flow of life and the space-time of the universe, using gradations of blue, a color that symbolizes the universe. The rhythm created by the intimate and meticulous details of the drawings invites the viewer into an immersive experience, transforming the space into a timeless garden while encouraging a dialogue with oneself.

On February 11th and 15th, there will also be a drawing workshop. For more information about the workshops, please visit the Hermès website (https://www.hermes.com/jp/ja/story/maison-ginza/forum/200211/).
