New Balance has announced a capsule collection with AURALEE. Following their first collaboration at TOKYO DESIGN STUDIO New Balance (TDS) in 2019, New Balance is teaming up again with AURALEE. This time, it marks their first collaboration with the brand itself, New Balance.

The capsule collection features footwear and two apparel models. These unique items combine AURALEE, a Tokyo-based brand known for its high-quality and sophisticated clothing, with New Balance's expertise cultivated over 114 years of tradition.

Footwear
COMP100

The inspiration for this collaboration model is the COMP100, a legendary model in marathon history, first released in 1978. Five of the top ten runners wore these shoes in the 1979 Boston Marathon.


AURALEE x New Balance COMP 100 / 18,000 yen

AURALEE's 2020 Spring/Summer collection, presented in Paris, France in 2019, proposed a stylish, comfortable style that plays on the fine line between formal and casual. The collaboration model, which was also featured in the collection look, is made from grained leather and features a streamlined design that is unified in one tone, from the slightly longer tongue, logo, and heel tab. It is available in unisex sizes and in two colors: a nuanced light green and a smoky brown.

Apparel

This knitwear, developed by SHIMA SEIKI using WHOLEGARMENT technology, is seamless and so comfortable it's often described as a "second skin." With no seams to restrict movement, this knitwear is ideal for fashion, sports, and medical applications. Available in two tops and bottoms, it combines AURALEE design details with New Balance's sports functionality to create a new lifestyle.

The bottoms, available in AURALEE's signature elegant coloring, come in one full-length style with a relaxed silhouette that pairs excellently with sneakers. Like the tops, they offer a dry-touch feel perfect for the spring and summer seasons, and are accented with a design that uses special reflective yarn. The capsule collection will be available exclusively in Japan from February 8th at AURALEE stores, New Balance Roppongi 19:06, and limited UNITED ARROWS stores.
