To celebrate its 5th anniversary, the Kitahama shop NEW PURE + in Osaka will be holding a solo exhibition by Kataoka Meriyasu, titled "TATTOO," in its basement space Chika No Akichi from February 8th (until the 24th).


Kataoka Meriyasu began his career in 2011. He has continued to create works in a wide range of media, including stuffed animals with soft, gentle expressions, toys, drawings, sculptures, puppet shows made up of his own works, and collaborations with artists from other genres.

This solo exhibition, his first since the "Meri-yasu Chumoku Geijutsusai 2019" held at MOTIF in Takamatsu in 2019, will feature approximately 50 works for sale by lottery and approximately 20 works for immediate sale. As the exhibition title "TATTOO" suggests, all of the new stuffed animals created for this exhibition have tattoos.
