Isetan Salone in Tokyo Midtown will be holding "ISETAN SALONE SDGs," an event bringing together a large number of ethical brands, from January 2nd to 14th, 2020.

Holistic beauty expert and Ministry of the Environment ambassador Kishi Beniko has curated products that will contribute to the "SDGs" through "selection" and "gift." The "organic x ethical" lifestyle is proposed, proposing a lifestyle that is kind to both people and the earth.

Their diverse lineup of products useful for beauty and health includes Minnade Mirai wo Ya, the ultimate ethical cosmetics brand from Japan; NEMOHAMO, winner of the Sustainable Cosmetics Award Grand Prize; Chamomile Laboratory's baby line, winner of the Good Life Award Grand Prize; a healing pillow made from power stone pebbles and tie scraps; and BOTCHAN, whose genderless cosmetics are popular with both men and women and are based on the brand concept of "Break away from masculinity." TWO, which operates a business focused on the future of food, is also launching a food brand, TWO STORE.

The exhibition space was designed by cardboard artist Shimazu Fuyuki. Based on the theme of "Carton & Luxury," he has created a high-quality space by combining discarded cardboard collected from all over the world with wood and acrylic scraps. You can enjoy this novel combination of discarded items and a high-quality feel alongside products selected from the perspective of the SDGs.
There will also be a "cardboard wallet" workshop, which anyone can easily make from everyday items, providing an opportunity to think about ways to enjoy "turning unnecessary things into precious things."

In addition, Mori Hikari and Tagami Aya will embark on a food journey themed on "farm to table (fresh, organic ingredients, from the farm to the table)," visiting farms and producers to learn from, and the sustainable food truck "miss eden," which will be open for a limited time, will create food using ingredients that are close to the duo. Using ingredients from farmers who are particular about the seeds, homemade fermented foods that respect the rhythms of nature, and containers that can be returned to the soil, the food will be good for both the stomach and the environment, along with the farmers' thoughts.
To raise awareness of SDG activities, Yoshimoto Kogyo produced a video in cooperation with the United Nations Information Centre called "People Who Have Started Thinking About the SDGs," and we will also be showcasing a video called "Flying Plastic Bags," which aims to encourage individual action by addressing the urgent issue of "marine plastic waste" in order to pass on the Earth to future generations.
Why not take the opportunity to think about the global environment and attend a fun, "Social Good" event?
