Egoiste, the irregularly published graphic magazine founded in 1977 by charismatic French socialite Nicole Visniac, released its first new issue in about four years in late January.

Although it is a visual magazine, it is committed to black and white, and has received contributions from numerous renowned photographers, including Richard Avedon, Helmut Newton, and Paolo Roversi. It is a legendary magazine that has been described as "the world's most snobby" and "the world's most whimsical." Whether or not you come across it in a store (or a kiosk in Paris) is a matter of fate, and my stance remains unchanged to this day.
