Bungu Joshi-haku 2019, Japan's largest stationery festival, will be held at the Tokyo Ryutsu Center from December 12th to 15th, featuring approximately 50,000 items, including items that can only be purchased here.

This year, the event will be extended to four days, and with the addition of 30 new manufacturers, a record 133 companies will be participating, with approximately 50,000 items on offer. Based on the theme of "Stationery Romance," there will be stationery with retro-modern designs, collaborations with familiar stationery brands, and many other products that can only be purchased here.

In addition to shopping, there will be plenty of hands-on content this year. The hugely popular "Masking Tape Lottery" (200 yen per play, tax included) is back with more and more prizes. All participants will receive a "Bungu Joshi-haku" limited edition masking tape, and if they win, they can take part in the "Masking Tape Buffet," where they can stick their favorite masking tape on an original mount and take it home. The Miniature Notebook Collection Lottery (350 yen per play, tax included) will feature six familiar notebooks in miniature size.
In keeping with the theme of "Stationery Romance," the "Stationery Yokocho" will be making its first appearance. Guests can enjoy "Scotch Tape Ring Toss" using staple stationery items like Scotch tape and Arabic Yamato, as well as "Pencil Fortune Telling," which can only be drawn here.

The ever-popular "Survey Notebook Decoration" workshop (1,200 yen per session, tax included) will also be held for the first time. Guests can stamp illustrations using "gold foil flakes" to create a one-of-a-kind notebook. Additionally, the "Kou no Gu" coloring experience (¥2,000 per session, tax included) allows participants to color using the new product, "Kou no Gu," which features paints with scents such as lavender and geranium. Participants will also receive a four-color set of "Kou no Gu."

The popular annual event's original goods will also be available again this year. This time, in keeping with the theme of "stationery romance," nostalgic stationery has been combined with the event. Additionally, five types of "Bungu Joshi-Haku" original inks, which were also well-received at the "#InkNuma" event held in August, will also be available.

"Stationery food" that is cute to look at and delicious to eat will also be available. This year, there will be a lineup of limited edition "delicious stationery" that can only be tasted at this event, such as an assortment of ohajiki and ama-notebook-shaped sweets.
In addition, there will be a "Taiwanese Girls Market" that will introduce Taiwanese stationery and miscellaneous goods selected by stationery girls, and the third "Stationery Girls Awards" will be held, selected by stationery girls for stationery girls. Additionally, the first 1,000 customers each day who spend over 16,500 yen (tax included) at the venue will receive a compact mirror featuring the iconic main visual of "Bungu Joshi-haku 2019."
Each manufacturer's booth will also be packed with limited edition items that can only be purchased at the venue. Why not come and find your favorite stationery?
