LOEWE will open its new flagship store, CASA LOEWE Tokyo, designed by Creative Director Jonathan Anderson, in Tokyo's Ginza district on November 16th.

CASA LOEWE is a global base designed to showcase the LOEWE brand in a specially designed space, and forms the basis of all of the brand's stores. In the store, artworks, crafts and designs selected from the Loewe art collection are displayed alongside Loewe products. Since Fall/Winter 2016, Loewe's fashion presentation has been based on this imaginary house (CASA), which also serves as the starting point for the fashion collection itself.

The newly opened Casa Loewe Tokyo features concrete, a staple element of Loewe's "architectural palette," visible on all sides of the walls and floors, both inside and outside the store. A handmade natural wool rug based on a design by textile artist John Allen adds color to the space, while natural Japanese wood used for the stair railings, ceiling slats, and shelves adds warmth to the contemporary space.
The curved staircase features ironwork incorporating Loewe's signature WM knotting, and the lighting is specially positioned to complement the store's overall character.

Casa Loewe Tokyo will exhibit two mural installations by Spanish artist Gloria Garcia Lorca. Works by textile sculptor Simone Felpin and ceramic artist Takuro Kuwata have been selected from the Loewe Craft Prize. Additionally, the exhibition will feature works by Kara Thring, Yuji Agematsu, Andrea Buttner, and John Ward, as well as hand-carved and hand-painted cameos from the 17th and 18th centuries that were featured in the Craft Show.

Each floor will also feature modern furniture such as George Nakashima's "Cone Cushion" chair, Jim Patridge's bench, Axel Vervoort's "Floating Stone" coffee table, and Anglo-Japanese-style seating from the late 19th century.

In addition to stocking the full lineup of products, the store will also be the first in the world to release the "Postal Bag Tokyo" (290,000 yen), a Tokyo version of the signature "Postal Bag" which is inspired by vintage postcards and depicts cities around the world. Additionally, a mini version of the popular "Gate Top Handle" bag, known for its distinctive leather ribbon on the front, the "Gate Top Handle Mini," will be released in a store-exclusive color.
