Now in its third year, "Hakone Night Museum" is held from the start of the Christmas countdown through to the new year. Enjoy a "special artistic light-up" experience exclusive to the Hakone Open-Air Museum, created by artist Kyota Takahashi, who explores the possibilities of light through skillful manipulation of lighting and video.

At the venue, participants can borrow a free lantern and explore the nighttime sculpture garden. The light of the lantern changes in response to the lighting colors of the sculptures and scenery they encounter, and the participants' movements create a night view, creating a mysterious experience that feels like drawing a light drawing on the outdoor exhibition space at night.

In addition, Takahashi's illumination, which previously only covered the outdoor exhibition area in the main building, has been expanded to include Ryokukage Plaza this time. The area that can be roamed has also been expanded, so even those who experienced it last year or the year before are sure to find something new.

The "Symphony Sculpture Bringing Happiness," a photogenic spot that has been a hot topic on social media and in TV commercials, will also be lit up. During the day, when natural light pours in, you can see it from inside the tower, and after dark, the tower is enveloped in light from the outside, creating a breathtakingly beautiful world of light both day and night. In addition, with the addition of music by Toru Yamanaka, you can enjoy a collaboration of light and music.

In addition, the Picasso Pavilion, which was renovated and reopened in July, will be open until 6pm to coincide with this event.
