Cartier has released a new campaign film for its fragrance collection, La Panthère.
Cartier's latest campaign film, directed by Nathalie Canguilhem, returns to the origins of the Panthère, telling a story guided by the Panthère from the heart of the tropical rainforest, where it all began.
Both Panthère and Cartier have explored the gap between abstraction and figuration, reality and the supernatural. The bridge between these two worlds was the inspiration for this latest film. British actress Vanessa Kirby, with whom she shares much in common with Panthère, appears in a lush, inner-city landscape teeming with life and beauty.
Driven solely by instinct, she transforms into Panthère, an alter ego that reflects her own personality.
Like the Maison's iconic Panthère, Vanessa Kirby has always blazed a trail with determination. Her free spirit is just as independent as the Panthère itself. Known for her philanthropic work, she values being natural and moving forward with confidence, which she says is the same as the saying, "A leopard's spots never change."
This video captures the irresistible allure of the La Panthère fragrance. Created in 2014, this fragrance refocuses the chypre scent genre with a wild, floral new accord. A marriage of historic chypre, mythical, animalistic musk, and the freshness and freshness of gardenia - this was the vision of Cartier perfumer Mathilde Laurent.
