Discover a cup of coffee that goes beyond specialty! The 8th "Coffee Collection" will be held again this year in Kanda, Tokyo

Event Date:2019.11.02-11.03
Oct 16, 2019
"COFFEE COLLECTION around KANDA NISHIKICHO 2019," an event bringing together 10 stores from Japan and abroad where you can discover a new cup of coffee that goes beyond specialty coffee, will be held on November 2nd and 3rd at the main venue, Terrace Square Entrance, a complex building in Kanda Nishikicho, Tokyo.

This year, the 8th time the event is being held, the focus will be on the quality and potential of green beans, which are the source of delicious coffee. The "COFFEE COLLECTION DISCOVER 2019" project, which is seeking participants for this event, will involve a "blind cupping" process, with four judges - Suzuki Kiyokazu of GLITCH COFFEE & ROASTERS, Iwasaki Yuya of TAKAMURA COFFEE ROASTERS, Sasaki Shuichi of PASSAGE COFFE, and Suzuki Itsuki of Maruyama Coffee - with no information given as to which coffee was from which shop. Coffees from both Japan and overseas, including Geisha varieties that captivate coffee lovers and coffees carefully selected using the latest technology, will be collected, and 10 shops will be selected to participate after being judged according to strict international standards. Each day, five shops will set up stalls at the Terrace Square entrance, where they will serve the rare and valuable coffees that have captivated globally renowned coffeemakers. The exhibitors on November 2nd are Hazel Coffee from Toyama, COFFEEROASTER&CAFE CULMINO from Yamagata, TOKEINONAI KISSATEN from Hokkaido, CHEMBOX COFFEE and GEORGE COMMUNITY from China. The exhibitors on November 3rd are Hatch Coffee Roasters from Canada, AMBER COFFEE BREWERY from Hong Kong, Rokumei Coffee Company from Nara, NICHI NICHI COFFEE from Fukushima, and GLITCH COFFEE&ROASTERS from Tokyo.

The new project, "GET A FULL TASTE OF COFFEE," is a new initiative that takes coffee and the earth into consideration. The cups and water served have been carefully selected, including the use of paper lids called "Stacking Paper Lids" and "TAMANOHADA NATURAL SPRING WATER," which when used in coffee gives an unparalleled level of delicate flavor.

In addition, there will be food and content to make coffee even more enjoyable, as well as talk events and photo exhibitions at Nishikicho Trad Square. In addition to the two-day event, on two weekdays, October 31st and November 1st, a collaboration booth with HARIO will be opened, welcoming the best coffee shops from 2017 and 2018 in the "COFFEE COLLECTION DISCOVER" as guests. This will provide an opportunity for even those with weekdays off to enjoy the highest quality coffee.

At this event, which brings together the highest quality coffee that can only be tasted here, you can enjoy a cup of coffee that brings together the insatiable passion for coffee from everyone, from farm owners to roasters and baristas.
