Isetan Urban Market, a popular shop located in Osaka Station's Lucua 1100, will open a limited-time select shop, Isetan Urban Market KYOTO, in a Kyoto townhouse from October 12th to November 4th.

More than half of the participating brands will be opening in the Kyoto area for the first time at this limited-time select shop. Based on the concept of "HAVE FUN, BE HAPPY," popular brands will come together to introduce a wide range of items, including clothing, accessories, food, lingerie, and cosmetics.

In addition to popular brands from Isetan Urban Market such as little $uzie and ch!iii, trending brands such as MALION vintage, Paso, and Celvoke will also be featured. The diverse lineup also includes BELPER, an up-and-coming brand founded by Yuichi Ozaki, who won the grand prize at the Bilbao International Competition while studying at Nottingham University of Art and Design in the UK, and GATEAU MAMAN, a popular baked goods shop in Shizuoka where customers have to wait two hours before it opens.

ASOKO will also be releasing a Kyoto-exclusive line called "TODAY AND." (TODAY = Today, AND = Kyoto), which was created to coincide with the event. In addition, there will be a variety of events, including a visit from a designer, and a two-day produce market on October 13th and 27th by Osaka greengrocer FARMAN KITCHEN MARKET, where they will sell seasonal vegetables and fruits from contracted farmers all over the country, as well as their popular sandwiches.

The venue is a townhouse, a rare design even in Kyoto that mixes Western-style architecture, and offers a relaxing time in an open space with a courtyard and earthen floor. The interior design was also carefully considered, and the store's direction was handled by NOTA&design, who run the select shop NOTA_SHOP in Shigaraki, Shiga. The fusion of townhouse architecture and modern design creates a stylish yet relaxed space.
