Seiko Watch Corporation will release a jewelry watch featuring the brand's elaborate design from the Grand Seiko Masterpiece Collection on June 9th.
This jewelry watch is based on the brand's signature color, blue.

This jewelry watch from the Masterpiece Collection, which features an original movement created by the luxury watchmaking workshop Micro Artist Studio (※1), combines the practicality of a watch, such as precision and legibility, with a high level of decorativeness.
Since its founding in 1960, Grand Seiko has used the lion, known as the king of beasts, as its brand symbol. The lion, a symbol of royalty, embodies our determination to create the finest wristwatches. Inspired by this spirit, we unveiled an original jewelry watch themed around the "White Lion" at last year's Watches and Wonders Geneva 2022.
This year, we've taken advantage of the unique styling of the "White Lion" and accentuated the brand's signature color, blue, with diamonds and blue sapphires to create a limited edition model with a striking presence.

The center of the dial is made of white mother-of-pearl with a blue finish that complements the blue sapphires. The diamonds and blue sapphires surrounding the dial serve as minute markers. The precious stones, set horizontally on rails with no gaps along the arc of the 18K white gold dial by skilled craftsmen, emit a beautiful, flowing sparkle. A tempered gray second hand glides smoothly above them, reflecting the passage of time.

Three blue sapphires are set at the 12 o'clock position, and slightly wider sapphires are placed at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions, improving time legibility. This Grand Seiko jewelry watch combines practicality and elegance.
Diamonds are also set on the protruding case lugs, emulating the brilliance of a beautiful lion's sharpened claws.

The caliber 9R01 used in this model is a Spring Drive movement crafted by Micro Artist Studio. Mechanical watches and Spring Drive movements are powered by a mainspring housed in a barrel. While most watches are equipped with a single barrel, this model uses three barrels arranged in series, enabling continuous power for up to approximately 8 days (192 hours).
The bridge is shaped like Mount Fuji, the rotor is the sun, the ruby represents the lights of Suwa city, and the power reserve indicator is inspired by Lake Suwa. Through the case back, you can enjoy the view of sacred Mount Fuji from the birthplace of Spring Drive.
Since its launch in 1960, Grand Seiko is a brand that has made continuous progress, striving to create the finest wristwatches, pursuing and realizing the essential qualities of a wristwatch, such as accuracy, beauty, and legibility, at a high level. Since beginning full-scale global expansion in 2010, Grand Seiko has earned high praise around the world for the highest level of performance and sophisticated design that only a true manufacture, one of the few in the world, can achieve.
