Create a relaxed mood with flowing wide bottoms! How can you style them to enhance your figure? [Paris Snap]

Mar 18, 2023
Paris Fashion Week for the Fall/Winter 2023-24 season took place from February 28th to March 7th. This season's collection revisited archives for a modern reinterpretation, and under the theme of "reset and restart," many creations demonstrated a strong will to move forward into an uncertain future. The long-standing street style has completely faded into the background, with a strong trend towards returning to authentic fashion. The relaxed mood that has continued since the post-COVID-19 pandemic took over the off-runway this season in the form of wide-leg bottoms. One change was that instead of the jeans that were prevalent last season, there were many flowing pieces made from satin and lightweight cotton. Pay attention to wide bottoms that expand your style versatility, from casual to elegant!

Model Emma chose wide cargo pants from Stella McCartney. The tapered silhouette with narrow hems gives a neat impression despite the wide pants. She wore sensual sandals on her feet, creating a sweet and spicy mix with the menswear-inspired cargo pants.

Jeanne Damas / Founder and Artistic Director of Rouge

Jeanne, a model and businesswoman who embodies the modern Parisian woman, attended the Dior show in a chic black and white French style. She paired formal pinstripe wide-leg pants with a compact, hand-knitted ensemble that exuded a sense of handcrafted work, creating a perfect balance that flattered her style.

Sara Sampaio / Model

World-renowned model Sara made an appearance off the runway rather than on the runway. Her mint green suit set is from Stella McCartney. The oversized, mannish jacket and loose bell-bottoms worn at the waist create an effortless look. She was wearing bold underwear underneath! Even if you can't take that as a reference, you can still wear the suit set in a feminine way by choosing a slightly more revealing inner layer.

Extra Edition

From "military," one of the keywords for this season's trends, to decorative finishes typical of Paris Fashion Week, wide bottoms, which symbolize individuality, decorated the off-runway. This item will make your legs look longer, so it's definitely something that even people of short stature should try!
