Focusing on different materials and layers. Industry figures who master the one-tone look [Paris Snap]

Mar 19, 2023
Paris Fashion Week for the Fall/Winter 2023-24 season took place from February 28th to March 7th. This season's collections revisited archives for modern interpretations, and under the theme of "reset and restart," many creations demonstrated a strong will to move forward into an uncertain future. The long-standing trend of street style has completely faded, with a strong trend toward a return to authentic fashion. From dark tones to pastels, the "one-tone look" dominated the spring/summer runways. In addition to matching sets, pairing items in different materials in the same color to add depth to an outfit or creating a minimalist, solid style is key to adding a playful touch with elements other than color. When choosing colors, consider how they complement your skin tone.

Itano Tomomi / Talent

We caught up with Itano Tomomi at the Nina Ricci show. A fashion lover so keen that she launched her own fashion brand, she made a good impression with her handsome look in a monotone black outfit. Her chic outfit, which matched the streets of Paris with her tight long dress, compact jacket and neatly styled hairstyle, caught the eye.

Amika / Talent

Amika, who once walked the runway at Paris Fashion Week as a model, appeared as a guest. She wore a girly suit set in a pale pink monotone, with feather decorations on the cuffs creating a dreamy mood. Jewelry around the face and a small clutch bag completed the look as a party outfit befitting the luxurious show.

Jane / Stylist

Jane, a stylist based in New York, created a futuristic look in a single tone of silver. Her python-embossed coat, pointed-toe boots, and even her Fendi bag are all in shining silver. Her white-framed sunglasses from Loewe perfectly harmonize with the look, completing the futuristic look.

Extra

The easiest single-tone look to pull off is a black-on-black outfit. You can avoid monotony by layering different materials such as wool, cotton, and leather. For special occasions, go for a bold, vibrant, single-tone look!
