Isetan Shinjuku will be hosting the evolved shoe exhibition "ISETAN Shoe Expo 2019" from September 11th to 16th in the Main Building's 6th Floor Event Hall.

"Shoe Expo" is an original Isetan Men's project that was held in a pop-up space on the first basement floor of the Men's Building in 2015 and 2016, with the theme of "Developing Shoe Culture." It is a shoe exhibition focusing on Japanese craftsmanship. This third edition will see the venue move to the Main Building's 6th Floor Event Hall and expand its scale. The venue will be divided into eight zones, inspired by a theme park, and will feature a variety of workshops and events that will allow everyone, from shoe enthusiasts and discerning shoppers to those simply interested in shoes and families, to fully experience the charm of shoes.

The lineup will include collections using "cordovan," a material that is now considered rare, as well as limited edition items from various brands.
The "DAILY SHOES STORE" zone will feature original shoes under the "Isetan Men's" name, developed and produced from wooden lasts to offer the best cost performance.

The "SHOES GARAGE" zone will also feature one-of-a-kind items made from leftover leather, deadstock, and vintage items owned by brands, as well as an exhibition of Japanese shoe archives and bespoke shoes not for sale, all of which are rare and of great historical value.
