Louis Vuitton is releasing two new pieces from its iconic Tambour watch series, inspired by Damier canvas.
Damier, a simple, graphic, and masculine design, reigns supreme as one of the most recognizable patterns in the history of leather goods. Craftsmen at La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton, the Maison's in-house watchmaking atelier, have taken inspiration from the Damier pattern to recreate the dial of a chronograph in Damier Cobalt canvas.
The dial is adorned with the "V" mark, representing "Vuitton," symbolizing the brand's presence as one that shares the refined values of sportiness, chic, and connectedness. Like a finishing touch, the famous signature designed by Gaston Louis Vuitton covers the entire dial and flange.
Tambour Chrono V Damier Cobalt (893,000 yen)
This new model comes in two versions with completely different looks. The first is the stainless steel Tambour Chrono V Damier Cobalt (starting at 893,000 yen, depending on the strap). Its colorful design features a contrasting red and white, enhanced by an azure-colored second hand. The sporty look is further accentuated by the rubber strap bearing the Maison's name.
Tambour Chrono V Damier Cobalt Blue & Gold (1,556,000 yen)

The second is the Tambour Chrono V Damier Cobalt Blue & Gold (from 1,533,000 yen *Prices vary depending on the strap) made of stainless steel with a midnight blue PVD finish. The 46mm case is also beautifully balanced in the same blue hue, with pink gold adding a precious accent. The most exclusive version features the Louis Vuitton initials engraved on the sapphire crystal caseback, which offers a view of the automatic movement at work. Both watches are also available with interchangeable straps.
