Tomokazu Yamada, who has worked on music videos for Kenshi Yonezu and Aimyon, will hold his first solo exhibition at Isetan Men's

Tomokazu Yamada, known for music videos for artists such as Kenshi Yonezu and Aimyon, will be holding his first solo exhibition, "Urban Memories," from July 31st to August 20th at the ARTUP gallery space on the second floor of the Isetan Shinjuku Men's Building.


Yamada Tomokazu is a leading filmmaker active in a wide range of industries, working on music videos for artists such as Sakanaction, Kenshi Yonezu, Chara, Wednesday Campanella, KID FRESINO, and Aimyon, as well as corporate advertising, photo series for fashion magazines, and even TV dramas. In recent years, the music video for Kenshi Yonezu's song "Lemon," which he worked on, has garnered over 400 million views on YouTube (as of July 2019), creating a buzz.

For Yamada's first solo exhibition, he will be showcasing works that capture in video and photography his memories and experiences of the city of "Tokyo," the city where he was born and raised, a city that has frequently appeared in his previous works.




A limited number of T-shirts featuring the exhibition's main visual will also be on sale at the space.
