"Early Noise Night #11," a Spotify-sponsored event popular with early listeners as a venue for experiencing live performances by up-and-coming Japanese artists, took place on July 5th.

The 11th event took place outside of a live music venue, taking place as an exclusive boat party. Trending artists such as Yo-Sea, Gottz, 3House, DJ CHARI, and DJ KANJI gathered on the Hotaluna, a cruise ship famous for its spaceship-inspired design by manga master Reiji Matsumoto, for a spectacular night.

Young music lovers flocked to the Hotaluna, which was moored at Hinode Pier. Everyone seemed to be looking forward to the location, which was quite different from the clubs and live music venues they would normally frequent. The eye-catching silver metallic streamlined Hotaluna also had a promenade deck where people were enjoying the Tokyo Bay in the deep darkness and the beautiful night view, while others were chatting over the free drinks and food on offer, creating a truly extraordinary party atmosphere.

As Yo-Sea performed "Dreaming City" and "Me & You" from his first EP, "7878," released in March, he jumped out of the booth and stepped out in front of the audience. The audience, thrilled to be able to experience a live performance from up close, responded with loud cheers, which was an impressive sight.

Next up was 3House, a member of South Cat, the same crew that Yo-Sea is a member of. He performed "Dejavu" with Yo-Sea, captivating the audience with the clever interplay of their vocals. Seamlessly transitioning into 3House's solo track "Purple Rain," the mellow melody belies the hook, which had fans singing along. Then the captivating intro begins, with a seductive guitar arpeggio. The crowd erupted in cheers again when 3House and Gottz performed their collaborative track "Jewelry," and Gottz, the MC for the hip-hop crew KANDYTOWN, which includes IO and KEIJU, appeared on stage. 3House's hook and Gottz's aggressive flow created a stunning performance, with varying tempos.

With the heat still building on the dance floor, Yo-Sea declared, "Next, can we all have our cell phone lights?", "Everyone, we're going to fly, so come to the front with the boys and support us," and "We'll fly even on the boat," before moving on to "22VISION." During the hook, he interacted with the audience, erupting into a mosh pit. With the biggest rocking of the day, the party came to a close. "Thank you. This is the best," Yo-Sea expressed their gratitude, and the set ended with the mellow ballad "CREW." Their silky voice seemed to blend into the romantic night view of Tokyo Bay.

Yo-Sea gave a shout-out to the other performers and Spotify, then left the stage saying, "Let's continue drinking and having fun." But the party wasn't over yet. DJ CHARI, a DJ/producer who has cranked out countless hits at night, kept the crowd going with a DJ set centered around Japanese rap/hip-hop anthems. While everyone was engrossed in his entertaining set, which included many of his own tracks, the ship docked at Hinode Pier once again. The extraordinary party came to a quick close.

Spotify Early Noise Night not only quickly hooks up with fresh Japanese talent, but also comes up with unexpected projects like this one. We look forward to seeing what happens next.
