A misty digital art garden appears at Tokyo Midtown. Experience the coolness of summer.

Event Date:2019.07.12-08.25
Jul 3, 2019
From July 12th to August 25th, the "SUNTORY Light and Fog Digital Art Garden: Living with Water" will be held at the lawn of Tokyo Midtown in Roppongi, Tokyo, allowing visitors to "experience the coolness of a Japanese summer."

A garden surrounded by a huge veranda will appear on the lawn plaza. Based on the motif of dry landscape gardens, this garden installation features expressive stones of various sizes, created by experience marketing company Hakuten and visual design studio WOW. At night, the atmosphere transforms into a mystical one shrouded in mist, and visitors can enjoy colorful light displays inspired by digital art such as ripples in the sand and fireworks.

In addition, from July 25th to August 25th, the atrium of Tokyo Midtown will host an experiential co-creation installation to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Expo, "Experience Design INSTALLATION 'Dancing Bamboo Reeds: A Cool Space Where Light and Shadow Dance,'" which will be on display. Participants can freely sway the roof-like bamboo blinds installed at the top of the space. The swaying of the blinds causes light and shadow to dance throughout the entire space, creating a new experience that not only cools the body but also the mind.
