Emporio Armani's Fall/Winter 2023 collection was unveiled at Milan Women's Fashion Week on February 23rd.
"Circus of Life - Days Full of Smiles"
When designing clothes for everyday life, Giorgio Armani consistently proposes garments that highlight the person rather than the character, like the costumes worn by characters in Elizabethan theaters. At Emporio Armani, this style credo is expressed with an urban essence and a witty sense of humor.
For the new Autumn/Winter season, the spirit of the collection is embodied in a large photograph of the model, with its radiant smile and beaming smile, displayed in the background of the catwalk. Small hats, jackets with asymmetrical buttons and evening tops with grosgrain straps evoke the Armani style of stage costumes. The collection is neat and light, with striking short-hemmed bottoms coordinated with graphic boots or loose-fitting pants, and shoulder and high-waisted bodice belts create a refined silhouette.
Meanwhile, the brand's DNA is expressed through a play of volumes and textures, interweaving masculine and feminine elements: shiny fabrics with mohair, canvas with textured velvet, black, white and grey tones with vibrant magenta and touches of metallic shimmer.
Clothes and accessories alternated between day and evening: embossed velvet bomber jackets, large shoppers covered in sequins, and shirt collars that resembled necklaces on evening dresses.
