LA-based tea brand ALFRED TEA ROOM opened on Cat Street in Harajuku, Tokyo on June 6th. To celebrate, all stores will be offering a special menu item, "Chocolate Mint Milk Tea," from June 6th until July 15th.

Since its opening in Melrose Place, LA in 2016, ALFRED TEA ROOM has been a popular destination for locals, bloggers, and celebrities alike. The tea menu offers a casual experience of enjoying the "true flavor" of teas made with carefully selected tea leaves from around the world, including milk tea with boba (tapioca), which is popular in both Japan and LA. The Harajuku store, the fourth in Japan, will open on the second floor of a street-level store along Cat Street.

To commemorate the opening of the Harajuku store, a limited-time special menu item, "Chocolate Mint Milk Tea," will be available from June 6th to July 15th at the Harajuku store, as well as the Aoyama flagship store, Lumine Est Shinjuku store, and Umeda Tsutaya Books. This specialty tea menu not only offers the taste of milk tea with a bitter cacao aroma and a generous amount of mint, but also features a color gradation that makes it perfect for early summer. Prices are "Regular size / no ice cream topping" (680 yen), "LA size / no ice cream topping" (780 yen), and "Chocolate Mint Ice Cream Topping" (+100 yen).

In addition, the Harajuku store and Umeda Tsutaya Bookstore will be selling limited-edition "original T-shirts." Also, for one week only from June 6th to 12th, with any purchase, you can enter a gachapon machine to win a random prize from seven options, including a Harajuku store opening commemorative T-shirt, tote bag, iPhone case, coaster, or a free drink ticket valid at all stores. Eligible items include all products at the Harajuku store, and a special menu item (chocolate mint milk tea) at Umeda Tsutaya Bookstore. The prizes are available on a first-come, first-served basis and while supplies last.
