On May 31st, FENDI held its first-ever joint women's and men's fashion show, "The Spaceship of the Future," in Shanghai, China.

The show took place at the sprawling 23,000m² modern art museum, Po werlong Museum. Models walked the runway in looks from Karl Lagerfeld's Fall/Winter 2019-20 collection, which included 15 unreleased looks that are part of his legacy.

Karl Lagerfeld served as creative director of Fendi's women's collection for 54 years, from 1965 to the present day. The Fall/Winter 2019-20 women's collection, unveiled in Milan, Italy on February 21st of this year, was Karl Lagerfeld's final collection for Fendi. The Fall/Winter 2019-20 men's collection, unveiled on January 14th, also featured a collaboration with Karl Lagerfeld, who was selected by Silvia Fendi to participate as a guest artist. This year's show attracted a variety of celebrities from around the world. From Japan, actor Riisa Naka and her husband Akiyoshi Nakao appeared together as guests of a fashion show for the first time, while Chinese actor and singer Timmy Xu and model You Tianyi also made an appearance.

Naka Riisa wore a dress from Fendi's 2019 Pre-Fall Collection. Nakao Akiyoshi also wore a set from the same season. Both chose Fendi's iconic "Baguette" bag. The men's version worn by Nakao Akiyoshi, "Baguette for Men," is scheduled to be released in July of this year.
