The Umeda Hankyu Beer Garden Marche will open on the rooftop of the Hankyu Umeda Main Store from May 27th. It will run until September 30th.



Osaka's Umeda district is home to many bars where you can casually stop by after work. Despite being such a competitive area, the Umeda Hankyu Beer Garden Marche is hugely popular every year as a stylish drinking spot, especially among working women.

This year, under the title "Japanese Noren Fair," local beer gardens will be held in three periods, with rotating menus in Kyushu, Kansai, and Hokkaido/Tohoku. The first period will focus on Hakata/Kyushu from the time of opening until July 2nd. Guests can enjoy Kyushu specialties such as chicken broth oden, deep-fried Nakatsu chicken, bite-sized gyoza dumplings, and Hakata mentaiko potato salad.



Other dishes include grilled skewers that can be customized with your favorite condiments, as well as dim sum reminiscent of night markets in other parts of the world, such as Peking duck, night market xiaolongbao, seafood pancakes, and addictive steamed shrimp dumplings. This beer garden boasts an ample menu, including fresh raw vegetable salads, side dishes like kinpira-marinated red vegetables, and hijiki seaweed namul, plus the perfect finale: noodles, dashi chazuke, and beef curry.




For dessert, try the limited-edition Japanese ice cream. During the Kyushu Fair, Dorayaki ice cream will be available.
