Seiko Watch Corporation will release a regular model from the Grand Seiko Sports Collection equipped with a chronograph GMT movement on March 10th. Since its founding in 1960, Grand Seiko has used the lion, known as the king of beasts, as its brand symbol. The lion, a symbol of royalty, embodies the brand's determination to create the finest wristwatches. This spirit is sublimated into the design of Grand Seiko's Sports Collection, which combines high practicality with a highly practical design. This is the first regular model to feature the lion's robust exterior.

The powerful case design, water resistant to 20 bar, features bold lugs that resemble the edges of a solid block of metal. Inspired by the large, protruding claws of a lion, the distortion-free flatness achieved through Zaratsu polishing and the hairline finish accentuate the watch's robust silhouette. The case's center of gravity has also been lowered, ensuring a stable fit. Furthermore, the case and bracelet are made of Grand Seiko's proprietary bright titanium, which is approximately 30% lighter than stainless steel, ensuring a comfortable and lightweight feel.


The dial's texture is achieved through a special stamping process reminiscent of a lion's mane. The shiny white dial, which expresses the lion's noble presence and beauty, is accented with reddish-brown color. Combined with the three-dimensional, wide indexes and the hour hand that stands out, this watch provides excellent "time legibility" that allows you to read the time at a glance in any situation.


The hour and minute hands and hour markers are coated with green Luminous Light, while the bezel and GMT hand are coated with blue Luminous Light, ensuring excellent visibility day and night.


The chronograph pushers have a recessed, textured design that prevents slipping, ensuring reliable and accurate operation. The bracelet features a sliding adjuster for a comfortable fit on the wrist.


This watch is equipped with the highly accurate Spring Drive movement, Caliber 9R86, which boasts an average monthly rate of ±15 seconds (equivalent to ±1 second per day) and a continuous power reserve of 72 hours. It also features a 12-hour counter and a GMT function. The see-through case back is subtly decorated with the lion emblem.
