Executive Pastry Chef Matsuo Hiroyuki
With the skills and overflowing sensibilities cultivated over nearly 40 years of experience at luxury hotels in the Kansai region, Matsuo has developed a variety of original sweets. As a confectioner, he also creates displays and has won awards such as the Osaka Governor's Award and Grand Prize in decoration and decorative confectionery contests. Since Aman Kyoto's opening in 2019, he has served as its Executive Pastry Chef. His afternoon tea, featuring Western-style pastries reminiscent of Japanese sweets, has been a hit since the resort's opening, providing a visually stunning and palatable experience.
