Minamimachida's new Snoopy Museum logo and image perspective unveiled

Apr 9, 2019
The logo and image perspective of the Snoopy Museum, which is scheduled to relocate and reopen at Minamimachida Granberry Park in the fall or winter of 2019, have been released.

The Snoopy Museum will reopen at a site adjacent to the large park, approximately twice the size of its previous Roppongi location, with a 2,600 square meter museum and a 200 square meter cafe attached.

The new logo was created by Cozfish, which, like the Roppongi logo, is led by Shin Sobue. In contrast to the previous, urban, minimalist logo, the new design emphasizes the three initials "SMT," which evoke the image of parks, picnic environments, and the joys of these places. The logo will be displayed prominently on the walls of the museum.

The new museum will have a permanent exhibition room and a dedicated workshop room, and plans include a comprehensive permanent exhibition and special exhibitions including original drawings being shown in Japan for the first time, a workshop where you can make your own Snoopy, and activities that make use of the natural environment. There will also be a museum shop with original goods that can only be purchased at this location, and a Peanuts Cafe will open in the adjacent annex.

A model of the new "Snoopy Museum" will be unveiled for the first time at the "Snoopy Museum Exhibition" to be held in Osaka from April 13th. This exhibition is a condensed version of five special exhibitions held at the Snoopy Museum in Roppongi. It will feature approximately 200 carefully selected items, including original drawings, sketches, and vintage goods, and will also feature reproductions of popular original merchandise for sale.
