Introducing the new eau de parfum, "LA RELIGIEUSE" (50mL, ¥13,000).
"LA RELIGIEUSE" was created by French artist Serge Lutens. Lutens is an unparalleled creator who has been active in various genres since the 1960s. He had a strong passion for beauty since childhood, and at the age of 21, he visited Vogue Paris with a portfolio of photographs and was immediately selected to design the Christmas issue.
He then served as overall director of brand beauty image and cosmetic line design at Christian Dior, and established himself as a color creator, a position that had not previously existed as a profession. This led him to expand his activities into the world of film, and he has since demonstrated his multifaceted talents as an artist, working on packaging, advertising, and perfume creation. Serge Lutens personally oversaw every aspect of the fragrance, from the bottle design to the naming and packaging. This fragrance is inspired by the memories of the convent Lutens spent his childhood in with his mother. It expresses the contrasting image of nuns as pure, innocent servants of God, and the cold treatment he experienced from the nuns toward himself and his mother. "L'Alligeuse" simultaneously releases the pure white scent of jasmine and the scent of incense, evoking his deeply personal experiences and hidden memories. The rectangular bottle, dyed a deep purple, has a simple yet striking design. The bottle itself seems to express the dual nature of Lutens: his deep inner conflict and his innocent soul. "L'Arligeuse/The Nun" is on sale from April 21st at SHISEIDO THE GINZA, Isetan Shinjuku Men's Store, Isetan Salone and other stores that stock Serge Lutens.
