Lanvin en Bleu to hold art exhibition focusing on brand logo

Event Date:2019.03.30-04.07
Mar 26, 2019
LANVIN en Bleu will hold an art exhibition titled "L'ATELIER," focusing on the brand's iconic "double JL mark," for nine days from March 30th to April 7th at the corner gallery space in Harajuku, Tokyo, which opened last year.

For this art exhibition, four groups of five world-renowned Japanese artists will visit Paris, the city where LANVIN originates, and create artworks inspired by their experiences there. These works will be exhibited and sold for a limited time.

The "double JL mark" is a logo that uses the initials "J" and "L" of Lanvin's founder, Jeanne Lanvin. During the exhibition, limited quantities of original products and exhibition goods featuring the "Double JL Mark," such as T-shirts (¥4,500) and tote bags (¥2,500) designed by each participating artist, will be available for sale.

The participating creators are UTOPIE, an art unit formed by Kosuke Kawamura and YOSHIROTTEN; Ryohei Sasaki, who creates works inspired by the things and experiences he encounters on his travels; Colliu, who presents his unique world through a variety of techniques, including drawings, paintings, and sculptures, centered on human-shaped motifs with distinctive eyes; and SAIKO OTAKE, who presents drawings and photographs.

The exhibition's symbol, the "Double JL Object," will also be on special display. It was actually brought to the Paris atelier and combined with each artist's artwork and sketches. Experience the "Double JL Mark," which has been infused with an artistic touch by each artist, as well as the works of artists from Tokyo who are spreading their message to the world.
