Isetan Shinjuku Men's Store underwent its first major remodel in 15 years. The remodeled store reopened on March 16th, aiming to become the world's No. 1 men's fashion store. The new statement is "As a man, and as a human." The store will evolve into a men's fashion store that fulfills each individual's "uniqueness." 
 
The iconic third floor of the Men's Store is home to some of the world's most renowned maison brands. In addition to the newly opened Celine, designed by Hedi Slimane, the mall also offers cutting-edge luxury brands such as Dior, Maison Margiela, and Gucci, designed by Kim Jones.

EPOCH, a fashion magazine produced by buyers from the Men's Building, is located primarily on the third floor, where leading fashion brands are lined up. It condenses the entire "mode" fashion of the Men's Building into a 210-page feature. The magazine is published four times a year, distributed to special customers and made available to the general public digitally.
 
 
The latest issue of "Epoch" features a look from Gucci's Spring/Summer 2019 collection on the cover. Based on the theme of remodeling, the design is inspired by the "succession and evolution" that governs the history of the Men's Building. The luxurious layout is inspired by the gold pillars that are set up inside the building.

Some looks were photographed with the pre-renovation construction site as the backdrop. Yoshioka Yutaka, the buyer who produces Epoch, says that the visuals capture the moment when the history of the men's building was restored and reborn.

EPOCH KNIGHT

 On March 27th, "EPOCH KNIGHT," a one-night-only night party where customers could experience the world of EPOCH, was held in the Men's Building after closing time. A stellar lineup of artists performed under the theme of "Resurrection (Remodel)." Guests were handed masks at the entrance, and the Men's Building stylists and staff also wore masks to welcome guests, creating an extraordinary atmosphere. 


Singer-songwriter Ryunosuke Yamagishi, who once rose to fame as a guitar prodigy, made an appearance. He showed off his exceptional guitar technique and singing voice. Regarding his appearance, Yamagishi commented, "It's exciting to play in a department store at night with everyone wearing masks." He thrilled the audience with his powerful live performance.


DJ KOO also made a surprise appearance. He livened up the venue with his brilliant DJing and talk, turning the Men's floor into a club! In the second half of the night, he performed a medley of songs produced by Tetsuya Komuro. He also performed "EZ DO DANCE" by TRF, the band he is a member of, and the excitement in the venue reached a fever pitch.
