Shibuya has been undergoing redevelopment in recent years. A bustling city where all sorts of people come and go, constantly playing a role as a hub for both tourism and culture, the area is home to numerous music-related restaurants, bustling day and night. Among these establishments, one with a particularly unique concept is "eplus LIVING ROOM CAFE & DINING," which we'll introduce today. Located close to the station, right next to Shibuya 109, the cafe is located on the fifth floor of the building, where you'll find a chic, relaxed space reminiscent of a New York restaurant. True to its name, the cafe's concept is "a living room where artists can entertain friends in their own homes." With around 300 seats available, from counter seats to private rooms, tables, and even a terrace, it seems like there's plenty of seating to choose from depending on the occasion.

They also have an extensive food and drink menu, and their "Living Burger," which has a strong New York style feel, uses a 100% Wagyu beef patty on an original dough that even the bun is made with special attention to its composition. The bold avocado topping makes this a very filling dish. Their "Domestic Beef Fillet Tagliata," popular during dinner hours, is a dish of thinly sliced domestic beef fillet tossed in red wine and balsamic vinegar. It's the perfect accompaniment to wine, and large platters are also available. For something lighter, we recommend the smørrebrød, a Scandinavian-style open sandwich that's secretly becoming popular. It's made with mackerel confit, sun-dried tomatoes, and ricotta cheese on cereal bread. Despite its light flavor, it's also incredibly satisfying.

The bar also features an enomatic self-service wine server, which is still rare in restaurants, allowing you to easily enjoy premium wines that cost tens of thousands of yen per bottle, by the glass or by the tasting. With more than 10 varieties to choose from at any given time, it's a must-have for wine lovers.

In addition, the spacious cafe is permanently equipped with a stage for live performances, and its main event is "Living Live," where a music charge of around 500 yen and tips are returned in full to the artists. It also hosts ticketed performances across a variety of genres. The cafe's philosophy is to "support artists," a unique approach for a cafe run by e+, which sells tickets for music concerts, plays, movies, entertainment venues, and more.
Speakers made by the historic London brand "Martin Audio" are installed throughout the store, and even when there are no live performances or events, we encourage you to listen to the pleasant background music that plays throughout the store. This time, we have put together a playlist of the songs that are usually played in the store. The background music is characterized by a selection that follows the flow of people throughout the day, from when the store opens in the morning until lunchtime, and from the evening until closing time at night, and while prioritizing comfort, the selection also includes new songs and movie soundtracks, so you won't get bored of it. Be sure to check it out here.

In areas outside the live music space, solo exhibitions by up-and-coming graphic artists are held monthly. Most of the works on display are available for purchase, further demonstrating the cafe's commitment to supporting artists.
The spacious store is filled with a relaxed atmosphere, but at the same time, there are often meetings, live rehearsals, filming, etc. taking place, giving the impression of a diverse mix of people. It may also function as a hub where a wide variety of creativity comes together.
