Hublot unveiled the new Big Bang Tourbillon Automatic Yellow Neon SAXEM at the ongoing LVMH Watch Week 2023.

Hublot has continued to explore SAXEM, a material used in satellites and lasers. For the first time in Hublot and watchmaking, the brand has achieved an unprecedented transparent neon yellow. This yellow is a powerful, bright neon color that appears to glow from within. Achieving a bright, fluorescent neon yellow in a transparent case was extremely challenging. Hublot found a solution to this technical challenge in aerospace engineering. SAXEM is a unique material developed in the field of satellite technology, and was also used in the 2019 Hublot Big Bang MP-11.


SAXEM is an acronym for "Sapphire Aluminum oXide and rare earth Mineral," and is an alloy of aluminum oxide, the basic component of sapphire, with rare earth elements such as thulium and holmium, and chromium. It boasts exceptional durability and a brilliance far superior to that of sapphire. The material's lack of tension provides stability, and its cubic crystal structure ensures the case maintains the same color and intensity from any angle. The polished neon yellow SAXEM creates a bold contrast with the six H-shaped screws on the bezel and the polished and microblasted titanium crown.


The Big Bang Tourbillon Automatic Yellow Neon SAXEM is equipped with the Manufacture automatic caliber HUB6035. The sapphire crystal dial reveals details such as the micro-rotor at 12 o'clock and the tourbillon at 6 o'clock, which appears to be the heart of the watch and is suspended in mid-air thanks to a sapphire crystal bridge.
