
CALMANTHOLOGY, a leather shoe brand for sophisticated men, has released its third collection for Spring/Summer 2019. The brand's name, "CALMANTHOLOGY," is a portmanteau of "CALM" (silence) and "ANTHOLOGY" (poetry collection), meaning "wordless poetry collection." Designer and director Makoto Kaneko aims to set a new standard for shoe brands that incorporate a uniquely Japanese sense of balance and Japan's finest craftsmanship, and designs with the belief that "shoes are made for you." Since its debut in Spring/Summer 2018, the brand has held limited-time pop-ups primarily at major select shops and department stores. The following January, the brand participated in PITTI UOMO, where it received acclaim from fashion icons around the world.
Tomorrowland, where the brand was launched, will host pop-ups starting from February 7th at the Shibuya store, followed by the Kyoto BAL store, Midosuji store, and Nagoya store. This is your chance to try out these "shoes made for you."
