"Clothes are organs."
When you put it on,
you realize, "This is who I am,"
With just this one outfit,
I can ride my bike anywhere,
I want to make you feel that way.
-- From an interview for "Costume Technique 2"

Michiko Kitamura, a leading Japanese stylist who doesn't call herself a stylist, has released her new book, "Costume Technique 2."

The book features 126 photographs documenting her 10-year collaboration with 34 popular actors, including Tadanobu Asano and Ryuhei Matsuda, and six photographers, as well as newly recorded interviews. Kitamura discusses not only her unparalleled film costumes and styling, and the background behind the shoots, but also her art, work philosophy, and her own roots.
