Gucci launches capsule collection themed around the 2023 Chinese zodiac sign, the rabbit

To celebrate the Year of the Rabbit, a special season marked by anticipation for the arrival of spring, Gucci presents a capsule collection themed around the rabbit, an animal symbolizing intelligence, health, and longevity. The playful rabbit motif, rendered in a variety of styles, injects a lively charm into every piece in the collection.

The collection spans a wide range of categories, from clothing to bags, shoes, accessories, jewelry, and watches, with dreamy, playful colors, prints, and embellishments that reflect the excitement of welcoming the new year. The rabbit motif appears in various forms across the collection, whether woven into knitwear, embroidered as a patch, or in unique spray paint on T-shirts, leather loafers, or G-Timeless watches.

Women's collection features sophisticated pieces such as printed silk blouses and skirts, as well as bold geometric prints with striking color contrasts.
Men's collection features sporty styles enhanced with playful graphic patterns. The shoes also feature bunny-inspired details, from high heels with bows reminiscent of bunny ears to fluffy fleece sandals.

In addition, iconic Gucci bags are given special interpretations to match the collection's theme, including the Gucci Diana tote bag with hand-painted stripes and the Gucci Horsebit 1955 bag in precious leather, tweed and studs.

Photographed by Max Siedentop, the collection's advertising campaign brings to life the joyous mood of the new year, heralding the arrival of spring, in vibrant colors. The camera captures the friends searching for a rabbit in a dreamlike flower garden, the hopeful colors of the flowers further enhancing the world of the collection. In this dreamlike meadow, the friends play and sometimes get sentimental, as the soft light of dawn signals the start of a new year.

This capsule collection will be available in select Gucci stores from December 27, 2022. In addition, stores selling this capsule collection and Pop-In shops will have spray-painted rabbits from the collection decorating their windows.
