[LOOK] Dior 2019 Spring/Summer Haute Couture Collection

Jan 22, 2019
Artistic Director Maria Grazia Chiuri's 2019 Spring/Summer Haute Couture collection for Dior was unveiled in Paris on January 21st.

Maria Grazia Chiuri's 2019 Spring/Summer Haute Couture collection was inspired by the "circus." The visual scenes of the pieces that make up the collection emanate from the world of memories and imagination that reside in the circus. Powder colors spread and blend in rich hues, creating an endless palette. Everything symbolized the patina and subtle fraying that has been etched over time, and the clever combination of materials, embellishments and silhouettes reinterpreted the classic, romantic codes of the circus.

The show debuted in a traditional circus tent, specially constructed for the occasion. Alongside the models walking the runway, the performance of the female circus troupe Mimbre set the rhythm of the show.
