
OSARE COMPANY, which handles styling for AKB48, has launched DREAM RUNWAY TOKYO 2015, a designer discovery project in collaboration with TOKYO GIRLS COLLECTION. The judges for the first contest have been decided.
DREAM RUNWAY TOKYO 2015 produced by OSARE COMPANY x TGC is a collaborative project launched by OSARE COMPANY to commemorate the 10th anniversary and 20th Tokyo Girls Collection. Its aim is to discover and nurture the next generation of designers who can spread Japanese fashion to the world. The theme for the first contest is "10." Those who pass the judging and presentation of design drawings created in line with the theme will have the opportunity to showcase their work at TOKYO GIRLS COLLECTION AW, scheduled to be held in September of this year.
The three fashion industry professionals who have been confirmed to participate as judges are Gunji Ayumi, the popular fashion creative director who also serves as the editorial director of "Numero TOKYO," Matsushita Kumi, a fashion journalist who serves as the senior editor of "WWD Japan," and Maruyama Keita, an international designer whose brand celebrated its 20th anniversary last year. Additionally, Kayano Shinobu, chief costume designer of Osarecompany and general manager of the AKB group, will also be participating.
Osarecompany is a company that manages and produces directors, stylists, hair and makeup artists, etc. It is known for being in charge of costume production and styling for the AKB48 group.
