The Yokohama Strawberry Festival 2019 will be held at the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse from February 1st to 11th. This year's festival will be the largest ever, and there will be plenty of fun activities for everyone to enjoy! Enjoy bright red strawberries and get a head start on spring.



Most exhibitors ever! Where can you find the special strawberry sweets at the “Strawberry Market”?

Intriguing Menu Items at First-Time Shops♡

This is the first store at Tokyo Strawberry Park, a strawberry theme park that opened in Yokohama in 2018. The original "Meccha Strawberry Parfait" (500 yen) features yogurt and fresh cream all topped with strawberries and pink! Koroan in Motomachi, Yokohama, is opening its first store here, and the popular brown sugar dorayaki is topped with strawberries in the "Strawberry Fresh Dorayaki" (400 yen), available only at the Yokohama Strawberry Festival. Koroan's "Meccha Strawberry Parfait" (500 yen) is available for the first time. class="customstyle-caption">Migaki Ichigo Store's "Migaki Ichigo Canette (red/white)" (500 yen per glass) is a sparkling wine made with a generous amount of Migaki strawberries, known as "edible jewels." Enjoy it paired with strawberry sweets.

Izu Strawberry Factory, which just opened in November 2018, offers the "Strawberry Baum Skewers" (450 yen each), which allow you to alternate between Baumkuchen and Benihoppe strawberries.

Ash x M's popular "Shonan Strawberry Chocolate Fontaine" (800 yen) features fresh strawberries from Kanagawa Prefecture, drizzled with warm, freshly made chocolate sauce.

Pâtisserie Swallowtail's "Usa Ichigo" strawberry parfait (700 yen) features a rabbit peeking out from the cup.

Strawberry Cafe LECKER's hugely popular hot latte "Winter Strawberry and Marshmallow Hot Latte" (700 yen) combines marshmallows and fresh strawberries.


A long-established and popular cafe that you definitely shouldn't miss.

 Yokohama Mizushin, a long-established fruit specialty store founded in 1915, offers a luxurious set called the "Strawberry 4 Variety Tasting Set" (2,000 yen) that lets you compare rare strawberries.

Bashamichi Jubankan's "Tochiotome Round Shortcake" (650 yen).
A cute shortcake made with a round sponge cake sandwiched between Tochiotome strawberries and decorated with fresh cream.


Asakusa Umezono's "Strawberry Daifuku" (324 yen) is a chewy daifuku filled with large Tochiotome strawberries.


Atori's creative confectionery shop, "Tochiotome Omelette" (600 yen), is an omelette made with homemade strawberry jam, plenty of fresh cream, and rich custard cream wrapped in fluffy sponge. The exquisite balance of sweet and sour strawberries and cream is amazing.

Strawberry lovers will want to enjoy the natural flavor of strawberries


One of the attractions of this event is the free strawberry sampling. Eight varieties of brand-name strawberries from around Japan will be distributed daily in an outdoor space, aptly named "Strawberry Sampling."


Starting with "Ichigosan," a new variety from Saga Prefecture that debuted in 2018, on the first day you can taste Chiba's "Chibaberry" and "Shinku no Misuzu," which will be appearing at the event for the first time! Samples of 8 popular strawberry brands, including "Chibaberry," "Shinku no Misuzu," "Saga Honoka," "Yotsuboshi," "Beni Hoppe," as well as "Fukuharuka" and "Tochiotome," will be available on a rotating daily basis. Please note that samples are available on a first-come, first-served basis and in limited quantities (distribution location: in front of Strawberry Market Gate A).

●Sampling Dates
       "Shinku no Misuzu" (first time), "Chiba Berry" February 1st and 6th (50 packs *one of each type per day)
Shinku no Misuzu --- Deep crimson even down to the flesh. With a high sugar-acid ratio, the color, aroma, taste, and sweetness are all rich.
Chiba Berry --- Large and juicy, with just the right amount of acidity and a vibrant red color. Chiba's mascot, Chiba-kun, is scheduled to make an appearance on the distribution days. First: "Yotsuboshi" February 2nd (200 packs) --- Sweetness, sourness, and flavor all come together to make this a delicious strawberry on the same level as Yotsuboshi. "Tochiotome (Mooka City)" February 3rd (500 packs), 7th (300 packs) --- Mooka City's Tochiotome strawberries have been the top-producing strawberry in Japan for 50 consecutive years. They have a high sugar content and a good balance of just the right amount of sourness. First: "Ichigosan" February 4th (500 packs) --- A notable new variety that debuted in 2018. Bright red fruit with a beautiful shape and a sweet, juicy taste.
First: "Saga Honoka" February 5th (500 packs) --- A glossy bright red color, high sugar content, and low acidity, making it easy to eat.
First: "Beni Hoppe" February 8th (400 packs) --- Red all the way to the center of the fruit, with a good balance of sugar content and acidity, and a rich, flavorful taste.
        "Fukuharuka" February 9th and 10th (300 packs/day) --- Characterized by sweetness and a satisfying texture. "Tochiotome" February 11th (200 packs) --- Japan's top strawberry brand. Beautiful shape, vibrant red, and rich, juicy flavor.
