La Maison du Chocolat releases merry-go-round themed Valentine's Day collection

Jan 16, 2019
Chocolate specialty store La Maison du Chocolat has released its Valentine's Day collection, "Vertiges Chocolat." Sales will begin in mid-January.
Vertiges Chocolat 4 pieces: ¥1,950 / 9 pieces: ¥3,250 / 16 pieces: ¥5,000

The theme of "Vertiges Chocolat" is the Parisian merry-go-round. This Valentine's Day collection, created by chef pâtissier and chocolatier Nicolas Cloiseau, a holder of the Meilleur Ouvrier de France (M.O.F.), depicts the ecstatic feelings of lovers as they unfold in the romantic city of Paris.

The collection consists of three sizes of gift boxes and a large, heart-shaped praline called "Bouche Coeur à la Folie" (3,500 yen each).

The "Vertiges Chocolat" gift box contains four limited-edition chocolate recipes. Each recipe, which expresses the fluctuating feelings of love through flower fortune-telling, is filled with the ecstatic feelings of a merry-go-round, such as caramel for "love," passion fruit-flavored ganache for "passion," and rich praline for "madly in love." The Valentine's Day collection will be sold at La Maison du Chocolat Marunouchi store, Matsuya Ginza store, Roppongi Hills store, New Man Shinjuku store, Shinjuku Odakyu store, Umeda Hankyu store, and Osaka Takashimaya store.
