To celebrate the 125th anniversary of the British brand Globe-Trotter, the "125 Years of Globe-Trotter" exhibition will be held at the Globe-Trotter Ginza store from December 7th to December 19th. The exhibition will trace Globe-Trotter's history through valuable suitcases and tools from the brand's founding, as well as collaborations with brands and artists that began in 2000.




Born in the late 19th century, Globe-Trotter's innovative lightweight suitcase has undergone a long journey over the past 125 years, evolving into a beloved classic design. This exhibition will showcase how Globe-Trotter's original manufacturing methods, established in 1897, have continued to evolve and continue to be used to this day.




Globe-Trotter suitcases are crafted from patented vulcanized fiberboard (commonly known as Vulcan Fiber), known for their strength and durability, yet lightweight and functional. Still designed and handmade in the UK, Globe-Trotter has earned a global reputation for excellence in Made in England design.

"125 Years of Globe-Trotter" will not only showcase important early works, but will also provide a comprehensive look at the brand's innovative and diverse collaborations that have emerged in the 21st century. For Globe-Trotter, the concept of creative partnerships began nearly 20 years ago and showcases a wide range of collections including partnerships with Hermès, Tiffany & Co., Alexander McQueen and Comme des Garçons.







This traveling exhibition will kick off at the flagship store in London's Burlington Arcade before traveling to the flagship store in Tokyo's Ginza district and the Melrose store in Los Angeles, offering a panoramic view of Globe-Trotter's 125-year history.
