To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first Alhambra long necklace, Van Cleef & Arpels is releasing new additions to its Alhambra collection crafted in dazzling materials.

Following the combination of gray mother-of-pearl and diamonds introduced in spring, the new lineup features blue agate, a historic material for the Maison, and the first Alhambra motif in yellow gold with guilloched engraving, creating a vibrant yet delicate sparkle.

Paying homage to the beauty of the colored stones that have adorned the Maison's history, blue agate, which first appeared in the Alhambra collection in 1989, is reborn as the material for the Vintage Alhambra necklace and bracelet. In accordance with the Maison's strict standards, agate with a translucent, deep, and even hue was selected. Combined with yellow gold, it creates a delicate, pale blue hue and a luminous beauty reminiscent of the sky at dusk.
The "Vintage Alhambra Necklace, 10 Motifs, Yellow Gold, Blue Agate" will be available for pre-sale at the Ginza Main Store, GINZA SIX Store, and Shinsaibashi Store.

Also available is the "Vintage Alhambra Necklace, 10 Motifs, Guilloched Yellow Gold," which marks the first time the traditional "guilloching" technique, used in watches and rare pieces, has been applied to the Alhambra collection. Guilloching, an engraving technique used to decorate watch dials since the 1910s, was later applied to boxes, powder compacts, and the Maison's signature minaudières in the 1930s to further enhance the value of the materials and gemstones.
For this occasion, the Maison has inspired a new Alhambra by applying guilloching to mirror-polished yellow gold, resulting in a dazzling interplay. Thanks to Van Cleef & Arpels' craftsmanship, deep, sharp engravings and sun-shaped patterns create a delicate relief effect on the motif's surface, allowing intense light to circulate from different angles. This adorned Alhambra motif captivates the viewer with its dazzling light and ever-changing aesthetic.
In keeping with the style that inspired the Alhambra collection, the motif features a single, sparkling, round gold bead at its center and is bordered by the Maison's signature delicate gold beaded border.
