Keihan Group's flagship hotel, THE THOUSAND KYOTO (Shimogyo Ward, Kyoto City), will be hosting sustainable and comfortable in-house Christmas decorations and limited-time events with the theme of "1000 Wishes" until December 25, 2022.
This year's theme is "1000 Wishes - A Christmas where a thousand hopes come together," and the hotel has prepared sustainable and comfortable projects to ensure that this Christmas brings together "hopes for the future" for hotel guests and local residents.
7-meter-tall "Fresh Fir" Christmas Tree
The centerpiece of the hotel's Christmas decorations is a 7-meter-tall "Fresh Fir" Christmas tree installed in the grand staircase at the atrium. In keeping with the theme of "1000 Wishes," the tree is decorated with electric lights, evoking the image of people's wishes coming together in light. The tree will remain up until Sunday, December 25th, when it will be transformed into decorations for the wedding reception held at the hotel.
Guest Participation Project "1000 Wishes Wall"
From December 1st to the 25th, guests will be invited to write down their wishes on the "1000 Wishes Wall" in the space next to the hotel entrance. The written wishes will later be taken to the hotel's chapel, "KOMOREBIDO," where a pastor will pray for the wishes to come true.
Christmas Concert by Students from Kyoto City University of Arts
As an event to connect local artists with hotel visitors, a Christmas concert by students from Kyoto City University of Arts will be held from December 23rd to 25th. Admission is free and open to the public.
Time: 17:00-18:00 each day (15-minute performance x 3 times *with breaks during)
Location: Grand staircase in the lobby on the 1st floor
