Dior will hold the exhibition "Dior, the New Look Revolution" at the Musee Christian Dior in Granville, France, from June 6 to November 1. A book of the same title will also be published to coincide with the exhibition.
The exhibition will look back on the New Look Revolution, which transformed postwar women's style, through the history of Dior's legendary "Bar suit." From its debut in Dior's first haute couture collection in 1947 to its reinterpretations to the present day, the exhibition will showcase numerous photographs and archival materials. Curated by fashion historian Florence Muller, the museum will be located in Dior's childhood home in Granville, Normandy.
A book of the same name, "Dior, the New Look Revolution," will be published by Rizzoli on June 8. The book was written by Laurence Benaim, a writer who has written many biographies of famous couturiers, and the foreword was written by curator Florence Muller.
