On September 24th, Gucci presented its Spring/Summer 2019 women's and men's collections under creative director Alessandro Michele.

This season, for the first time in the house's history, the show moved to Paris. The venue was Théâtre Le Palace. This marked the conclusion of the French trilogy, following the advertising visuals for the Pre-Fall 2018 collection, inspired by the Paris student protests of May 1968, and the Cruise 2019 fashion show held in Arles, France, in May 2018. During the show, Jane Birkin gave a surprise performance, singing her classic "Baby Alone in Babylone."
