- "My happiness comes from entertaining people," says Masayuki Ino, designer of the thriving Tokyo brand Doublet.
"Happiness" is one of the many things that the high-profile brand Doublet and fashion giant Marc Jacobs share in common. This marks the first time the two have partnered together, and their unconventional styles make them a perfect match.
Ino became the first Japanese designer to win the Grand Prix of the LVMH Young Fashion Designer Prize in 2018, subsequently establishing an ongoing relationship with LVHM. Marc Jacobs himself has always loved the brand Doublet, and the two brands share a common DNA, including diversity, humor, and a unique spirit. Ino and the creative team at Marc Jacobs collaborated to create the Resort 2022 party campaign. To express this season's theme, Ino has incorporated his signature touches, such as repurposed car seatbelts and hand-sewn balloons for straps on Marc Jacobs' iconic The Snapshot and The Tote Bags. The collection also features playful pieces, such as the "Today's Marc Jacobs" banquet sash, an essential part of the Japanese party scene. This capsule collection features exclusive items, including bold reinterpretations of Marc Jacobs' classic sweatshirts and oversized T-shirts as bag straps, featuring the brand's iconic "THE STRAP" embroidery.
The "MARC JACOBS × DOUBLET" collection will be available exclusively in Japan from November 16, 2022.

■Brand Profile
The brand doublet was founded in 2012 and presented at an exhibition in the Spring/Summer 2013 season.
Like transforming words, the brand replaces parts of basic, standard items with unexpected ideas, transforming familiar objects into "uncomfortable everyday wear," and offers a complete range of items from clothing to accessories.
He subsequently became the first Asian to win the Grand Prix at the "LVMH Prize 2018."
In AW20, the brand unveiled its first ever runway-style installation in Paris, which generated a great deal of buzz.
Since then, the brand has continued to present collections at Paris Fashion Week.
