With calligraphy quickly emerging as a new trend, Lucien Pellat-Finet's limited edition T-shirts are proving popular. The T-shirts, released in collaboration with Paris-based calligraphy artist Nicolas Ouchenir, feature the brand's iconic leaf design in red on a white background, with the words "L'Hymne à l'amou," a hymn to love for France, written in calligraphy.
A set of two T-shirts is priced at 48,000 yen, a more affordable price than the T-shirts in the collection line. The size is more oversized and boxy than regular Lucien Pellat-Finet T-shirts. Available in unisex sizes, the thin, plain-weave 100% cotton fabric is soft to the touch and comfortable to wear, contributing to its popularity.
Nicolas Uchenir has provided work for numerous fashion magazines and is said to have created over 15,000 invitations during fashion week. He is also a leading calligraphy artist, receiving many commissions from princesses, politicians, and state guests.
This limited-edition T-shirt is available at Isetan Shinjuku Men's Store, Tokyo Midtown Roppongi, and other locations. For his Fall/Winter 2018-19 collection, Lucien Pellat-Finet reflected the outrageous style of a real-life British earl. Inspired by the lifestyle of the British bourgeoisie, who enjoyed the latest Paris fashion collections with their pet lions, this calligraphy T-shirt set includes two shirts.
