ID&E CRAFTS, a project that explores "aesthetic lifestyles" with various creators, has announced the first in the "4 Seasons dish" series, "Autumn-Winter," created in collaboration with ceramic artist Yoshinori Takemura and chef Kimiko Hiyasui. An exhibition will be held at IDÉE Shop Jiyugaoka from September 7th to 24th.

This tableware, themed around the four seasons, was created in collaboration between Hiyamizu Kimiko, a chef who is active in a wide range of activities including recipe development, coordination and styling, and ceramic artist Takemura Yoshinori, who pursues the "combination of form and color." The shape and color were selected by the two, with the image of everyday tableware for enjoying seasonal ingredients at their peak.
The glaze was inspired by the colors of nature and the colors of ingredients that change with the seasons. The first release, "Autumn-Winter," features three expressive colors: Harvest, a rich hue evoking the bountiful ingredients of autumn; Breath, a warm gray that evokes human warmth even in the cold of winter, like white breath; and 4 Seasons, a warm white that blends seamlessly into Japanese life.

The lineup is limited to three sizes of organic-looking bowls that are easy to use for both Japanese and Western cuisine and have an atmospheric appearance. The small size (3,500 yen) is perfect as a side dish or for serving small appetizers. The medium size (8,000 yen) can be used as a main dish or as a serving dish for soup dishes. The large size (40,000 yen) is an art piece created freely by Takemura. It is a main dish that will enhance the food served to a large group of people.
The artist will be in the store on September 7th and 8th. In addition, in the spring of 2019, the second installment of the "4 Seasons dish" series, "Spring - Summer," is scheduled to be released. Why not add more color to your dining table with dishware that can be enjoyed as the seasons change?
