The new wing of Nihonbashi Takashimaya S.C. is scheduled to open on September 25th. The second trailer for the opening has been released. To commemorate the production of the trailer, an exhibition of miniature photographer Tanaka Tatsuya, who was responsible for creating the miniatures used in the video, will be held. The "MINIATURE LIFE Exhibition: Tanaka Tatsuya's World of Mimicry" will be held in the 8th floor hall of Nihonbashi Takashimaya from September 12th to 23rd.


Miniature photographer Tatsuya Tanaka was responsible for the title advert for the 2017 NHK TV drama "Hiyokko." With over one million followers on social media, including overseas, he is one of the most popular artists today. Since 2011, he has been posting photographs of everyday objects online without a break, garnering popularity.


The second teaser video for the new Nihonbashi Takashimaya S.C. building, released on August 22, is based on the concept of "everyday life and the new Nihonbashi area, all in fun miniature." It expresses the bustle of the new Nihonbashi Takashimaya S.C. along with the birth of the new area through miniature sculptures.

The exhibition features approximately 100 of Tanaka's best works, including three new pieces exclusive to Nihonbashi Takashimaya, as well as approximately 30 miniature works of the actual area. The miniatures used in the movie will also be exhibited and shown alongside the video. The second preview movie is also available on the special website (https://www.takashimaya.co.jp/nihombashi/). A talk show and autograph session will also be held during the event.
