MARNI will host the pop-up store "MARNI MARKET" at the Kotokoto Stage on the 3rd floor of the Hankyu Umeda Main Store from August 29th to September 4th.


This "MARNI MARKET" will be held in an atmosphere reminiscent of the 2018 Milan Furniture Fair, and will tell a special story inspired by the traditions of markets around the world. The various elements reflected there speak to the brand's aesthetic, characterized by a balance of form, materials, and color.

Among the numerous furniture and accessories on display, the eye-catching "Chair" (¥85,000) explores unexpected forms. Its backrest, reminiscent of peacock feathers, offers a new textured interpretation of the familiar PVC weave. The "Picnic Basket" (¥34,000), woven from willow stems and branches, is a traditional craft with over a century of history, passed down from father to son. For the first time, this Marni project incorporates colorful plastic strings into the design.

The "Canapa Bag" (Large ¥9,500, Small ¥8,600) features a vibrant color-block design, crafted by hand from 100% organic, durable fibers from the succulent agave plant. The colorful cotton "Hammock" (Large ¥36,000, Small ¥20,000) was also woven on a loom and produced by a community in western Colombia. Each item embodies a world beyond the realm of fashion, embodying a lifestyle filled with playfulness and creativity.
The new "Picnic Bag" will go on sale from August 29th, all colors of the "Stripe Bag" from the 31st, and the classic "Picnic Bag" in six popular colors from September 2nd. Each day will be sold by lottery, and the sales method for each bag will be posted on the Hankyu website from 10:00 on August 23rd.
